Evan Beachy has over a decade of experience playing the trombone. In high school he was invited to play with various ensembles like the Maryland All-State Band and the WVU Mountaineer Honor Band. He is currently studying trombone at Oberlin Conservatory, where he performs with various classical, contemporary, and jazz ensembles. In January of 2023, he went to Carnegie Hall in New York City with the Oberlin Orchestra. Beachy has also performed at summer music festivals such as the International Trombone Summit, the Chautauqua Music School Festival Orchestra, and the Blekinge International Brass Academy. An aspiring chamber musician, he is a frequent guest trombonist with the West Virginia Brass Quintet; he also plays in several student chamber groups at Oberlin Conservatory. Evan Beachy is the bass trombonist of the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra after winning the audition in October 2024.
